The last US passenger 747 flights
United flew its final 747 service on 7 November 2017, from San Francisco to Honolulu — deliberately re-flying the route its first 747 had operated in July 1970. Tickets sold out in 90 minutes.
Delta operated the last scheduled 747 revenue flight by any US passenger airline six weeks later, Seoul to Detroit on 19 December 2017.
No US airline has carried passengers on a 747 since. American freight operators, by contrast, fly more 747s than anyone — Atlas Air has the largest fleet in the world.
