Qantas operated the Boeing 747 for almost half a century, and the seat map changed repeatedly. The comparison covers four later 747-400 and 747-400ER configurations, followed by two complete airline-issued maps with every seat row and both decks visible.

The gap between the 307-seat and 371-seat versions is 64 passengers even though both belonged to the 747-400/400ER family. That is why a useful historical seat map must identify the airline, era and configuration—not just the aircraft model.

What the full maps show

The two full maps show individual seat letters and row numbers, cabin boundaries, galleys, toilets, bassinets, exits and accessible facilities. They cover the documented 364-seat and 353-seat layouts.

The 307- and 371-seat configurations remain in the comparison table because Qantas fleet records verify their class totals, but a matching primary-source row map has not been reproduced here.
